Jesus is God so why should He give up all for us? Because He loves us and wants to make us His children.

He became poor - Phil 2

To God the Father,
and to God the Son,
and to God the Spirit,
we come to praise and worship you,
the one and only God.

No one gave you life,
you are life itself,
the source, of life to all,
all living creatures big and small,
reflect in part your life.

Time and space, they are no constraints,
you transcend all things that exist,
to you no limits
to knowledge, wisdom and pow'r.

You God never change,
you are perfection,
in all you are and do,
we come to praise and worship you,
the one and only God.

Jesus who is God,
with all rights of God,
did not demand his due,
and did not cling to all he had,
but took on human form.

He the Lord of Life,
died upon a cross,
for sins, of the whole world,
and by his death he gives us life,
restoring us to God.

And Jesus, who reigned over all,
he became a slave and servant,
he gave the Father,
obedience, ev'n unto death.

He who was perfect,
faced the taunts of sin,
suffered in ev'ry way,
he became poor, to make us rich,
with all of God's riches.
