We all need God's Spirit to teach and enable us to love, for we so easily fall into inappropriate ways of relating to others.

Teach me to love - Rev 2:1-7

He who holds us in His mighty hand,
and who abides forever with us,
He is the risen Christ,
who came to save each one from sin.
(so that we can live to please Him.)

He who sees our toil and daily grind,
He knows our love for truth and for light,
He sees within our heart,
the desire to walk his way.
(He is there to share the load.)

Lord, we now pray, make our hearts,
so we shall constantly love:
You Lord, and all those that love your Name;
and everyone that I meet.

I remember how you drew me near,
so Lord, change and renew my spirit,
to live the life of love,
in everything I do and say.
